Christmas is approaching and we all know that it is a time for indulgence and the most social period of the year, think about all of the parties, drinks, and dinner during the holiday! For some of you who are always trying to stick to a diet or is very concern about weight gains, this could be quite a challenging period - as we wanted to enjoy what Christmas has to offer and we also don't want to feel guilty about all of that.One of the very fattening intakes is alcohol, but it is sometimes very hard to avoid - for those who do occasion drinks, social drinkers, all that back-to-back Christmas events would leave you feeling less fresh than even before all these holidays have begun. (I know, who wants to wake up hangover every day.)
Non-alcoholic and Zero Calories Spirits
When I was visiting Verge Organic at Landmark last week, I am so thrilled to find this: Seedlip Distilled Non-alcoholic Spirits: Spice 94, Garden 108 and Grove 42 - ALL zero calories, sugar, and sweetener free and NO artificial flavors, that AMAZED ME. Seedlip is a Nature Company that is working with the natural world to change the way we all drink. Find out more about them here. I was so excited and made my purchase immediately, my pick is the Garden 108. Andre (my colleague, nondrinker, who is also my photographer sometimes when I have to appear in front of the camera) and I, tried it out immediately!
It has a fresh and floral taste, sophisticated top notes of hand-picked Peas & Hay and a complex herbal base character of Spearmint, Rosemary and Thyme. We fell in love with it at our first sip (mixed with soda,) and we have been searching for some nice drink recipes as it can be the base of all non-alcoholic cocktails, and here are some recommendations from the lovely Seedlip team:
